U9-U14

Winter Futsal

We are excited to offer KSC Players an opportunity to stay on the ball this winter by introducing Keizer Soccer Club Winter Futal. Click here for more info...

We are offering a 4-week Futsal program in January with a second opportunity in February to U9-U14 players.

    Dates:  Sundays, January 6th – January 27th; February 3rd – February 24th

    Times: U9/U10:  1:00-2:00 PM
                U11/U12:  2:30-3:30 PM
                U13/U14:  4:00-5:00 PM

    Cost:  $40 for a 4-week session.

This is a great way for players to continue developing their skills and get some exercise in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Better then traditional indoor, Futsal is the only game endorsed by FIFA and credited to developing world-class players like Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo. Using a hard surface and a smaller, more dense ball that rolls more, and bounces less. Without the use of walls, players are forced to have better ball control and technique, also encouraging creativity in high-pressure situations. Most importantly, getting a lot of touches on the ball!!

    FUTSAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

    1. Where will Futsal be held?

    • The program will meet in the Whiteaker Middle School Gym

    2. Are there practices and/or Teams?

    • We are offering an OPEN PLAY structure this season – this is NOT a league with games. Players will arrive each week for a brief warm up. We will divide into teams based on skill and play!

    3. Can I sign my team up?

    • We encourage all KSC players to sign-up but they will not practice or play as a team in this program.

    4. Can I coach my players?

    • Our Director of Coaching, Sara Schag, will be running this program along with a few other volunteers. This is not a team based program.

    5. Are you offering anything for younger players?

    • At this time we are not offering anything for our younger players but we always strive to add and improve our programs.

    6. How many players will be in each session?

    • We are currently capping each session at 25 players to ensure everyone gets plenty of play time. If we have more interest we will look at adding another session but we are keeping it small to ensure every player has the best experience possible.

    7. Why is the program only on Sunday?

    • Gym space in our community is limited during the winter months. Our community basketball and volleyball programs use the facilities on Saturdays so we are only able to offer this program on Sundays.
